A fabulous event starts with great planning. Steve will meet with you early-on to help you plan your reception/party time-line and ensure that you have all the elements and details in place where you want them. You'll talk music and Host specifics, and he'll give you ideas to truly personalize your event. You'll have unlimited access to him via email and text, and he'll meet with you one final time as the event gets close for a final walkthrough of every detail.
Now it's time to celebrate! The work and planning has paid off. You can show up, sit back, and watch as the event of the year comes to life, leaving you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

If I choose Synthesis Entertainment, who will be my DJ?I am a single operator, so hiring Synthesis means you'll get me to be your DJ! I will work with you throughout the planning process; we will talk through your vision, music preferences, everything. Then I will be there to turn your vision into a reality! We often talk in plural on our website because I always bring an assistant to all of the weddings we do. Most of the time that will be my wife Neisha. There are many details to keep track of at the wedding: things like set-up aesthetics, working with vendors to make sure everyone knows what's happening when, making sure all the right people are in the room at key times, helping with microphones, etc. Neisha is very detail oriented and great to work with. Between the two of us we'll make sure your wedding turns out amazing!

Does Synthesis Entertainment need to rely on WiFi or streaming services?No, your wedding or event is far too important to me to rely on the Internet or a streaming service. Synthesis Entertainment maintains a huge legally purchased music library. To prevent playback problems during your event, I will not rely on cellular or wifi networks to play songs outside the SE library including Spotify, YouTube or any other streaming internet music source.

Can I tell you which songs I want you to play? Will you take requests? Do you have my song?I want to know which songs you'd like played for all of your unique elements and special moments such as your grand entrance, your first dance, etc. I'd also love for you to create the top 15 songs that you want to hear most at your event. You can include do-not-play songs/genres as well. If you have Spotify lists or a guest request list, I'd love to see that too. I'll use all of it as a base for inspiration. You'll decide whether or not you would like your guests to be able to request songs. Along with my extensive digital music library, I subscribe to services that provide music just for professional DJs, so I probably do have your song. But if I don’t have your song I will buy it. It just has to be available from one of the major online music stores or directly from the artist’s website. I own all of my music and never rely on streaming services for any events I do.

Can you edit my formal dance songs? Will that cost me extra?Editing songs is an art and, humbly, I am very good at it. I'd be happy to edit any of your special songs; for example I can take out the verse that doesn't quite fit in your father/daughter dance, or make your first dance song shorter, or even do a mash-up. I never charge extra for editing. It's fun and I consider that part of my job! During open dance, I edit and mix songs live to keep your dance party hopping all night long.

Do you have clean edits of songs?Yes, all of my music is edited for content. If you are looking for a DJ who will play explicit music, I'm probably not your guy. Explicit: Songs containing f-bombs and lots of profanity, hyper sexualized lyrics (like WAP) and pretty much anything by Megan Thee Stallion LOL

My event is next year. How soon should I book?Reserving your date as early as possible is always a good idea! Most of our brides book many months in advance, and many of them book 12-18 months ahead. While that kind of time isn’t always necessary, earlier is always better. You don’t want to have found the perfect DJ only to learn he is booked up on your big day! Shoot us a message above to find out if I still have your date open!

What is your service area? How far will you travel?We will travel to any venue/location within a 90 min radius of Noblesville, IN 46060 for no extra charge. If your event is further away than that, we would still love to be a part of it; we just ask that you provide overnight accommodations for the night of your event in order to allow my assistant and I to travel home safely the following day.

How much is the retainer? Does that payment go towards my package price? When will the balance be due?The retainer is $400. All of that goes toward your package price. Your contract will have the full details, but your final payment is due in full 14 calendar days prior to your event. You can pay at any time between your booking and the due date. We will send you an invoice by email a few weeks before your event if you still have a balance.

I want your services for less than 6 hours for my wedding or less than 3 hours for my corporate event. Can I get a lower price? What about if I want to book extra time?Our packages automatically include up to 6 hours of performance time for a wedding or up to 3 hours for a corporate event. While we can accommodate your schedule, we don't offer a discount if less hours are needed. If you need more time for your event, we are happy to extend. You can choose an extra hour as one of your package elements, or you can choose to pay by the hour.

What happens if the date gets changed or we need to cancel for some reason?If we are available on your new date, all the money you paid goes towards the new date. If we aren't available on your new date, or if you need to cancel the event, you would forfeit your retainer. Full details can be found in our written agreement, but we will do our best to work with you!

Do you have insurance?Yes, Synthesis Entertainment has liability insurance. We would be happy to provide a copy of our current insurance policy to your venue if needed.

Can you guarantee that my event will be a success?While we cannot offer a guarantee of success, we will do everything we can to make it happen. We know that there’s only one chance to get your wedding right, so here’s a few of the things we do every time, for every event, to make sure we deliver the same great experience for you: We meet with you in advance of the wedding to review your timeline and all of your special songs. We arrive early to set-up and test our equipment. We bring backup equipment loaded with your music and the most popular songs, ready for use in the event of a computer failure. Our sound system is strong enough to run with just one speaker in the event of a speaker failure. We will read your crowd and their reaction to different types of music and play what is working to keep people dancing.
